January 2021 Re-opening
Dear Parent
Happy New Year
As a result of the soaring number of Covid-19 cases, the Minister for Education sent a directive to all Northern Ireland schools on the 31st December.
The upshot is that primary schools are not to open until Monday 11th January. We were due to reopen on Thursday 8th January and this will now not happen. We have been told that our first day back (Thursday) was to be given over to planning for remote teaching. As it stands then, the remote teaching is only for the Friday and your class teacher will be in touch to suggest some activities for this day.
I’m sure I’m correct in saying that no-one belonging to the school community wishes the school to be closed. Hopefully the number of cases throughout Northern Ireland will start to fall and these measures of Mr Weir will be removed. Please do what you can to help make this happen by adhering to social distancing and the other Covid-19 preventative measures.
Yours sincerely
